That is REALLY good advice. No matter how tired you are, resist the temptation to go right to bed when you get to the hotel, which might be 7 or 8pm based on your schedule. Otherwise, you'll likely find yourself wide awake at 2am with nothing to do, and it will take you days to adjust. Instead, stay up until 10pm or even an hour or two later. Then, you'll likely wake up on your own before 6am anyway, assuming you were on a normal sleep schedule in the US, and then you'll be in good shape to not have much jetlag from there on out.
