So it's as simple as booking "S" outbound and "P" return and calling and telling them you want to "Up" the "S" fare to "W" and they just charge you the fare difference?

IME it is that simple but some have reported that agents charge the change fee to upfair. If this happens HUCA and you will get another agent, most I have had to HUCA is 3 times to get an agent that will wave the change fee for the upfair.
