In response to questions: We will be avoiding Oktoberfest - and it's a Platinum card - and likely flying coach as I don't know if I'm savvy enough to manage free upper class flights.
It looks like I can just book travel through American Express travel using points. Is there a reason that transferring points is better worse than just using my points to pay?
