I fly BA metal 2 or 3 times a year and have been on the 787 out of AUS to LHR now 7 times. All have been in WT except the last time I was in WTP. I was to the point where I would refuse to fly the direct out of Austin to avoid the 787 in WT. I couldn't handle it anymore and I always had a premium seat either exit or bulkhead.
If I had to fly again in WT I would definitely get the first set of bulkhead seats if you can. The second set of bulkheads by the exit doors are too busy. The window seat has limited legroom and the aisle seat has people standing by your feet the entire flight. I almost broke an ankle in that seat when someone stepped on it while I was sleeping.
WTP leg rests on the 787 are useless to me but I am 6'3". The value is the distance from the adjacent seat plus the recline is much better. You can almost sleep in the seat. So congrats on getting the WTP seat. I am flying again in WTP in November and I am not regretting it at all like I used to when I had a WT seat booked out of AUS.
