It's a hit and miss on LiveTV range. Once I flew YYC-LAX and the TV worked almost all the way there, but for the return flight, of course, it wouldn't work till we closed in on Canadian airspace. Another time, on a YYC-LAS flight, it fizzled out about half way into the flight. So as I say, it's hit and miss.
