So, I have flown and received points into my Aeroplan account a bunch of times on Germanwings, without issue, by entering my number when booking (even though the Germanwings Partner Page says that I need to use a TA, for some reason).

However, this time, and without notice to any pax, an airberlin plane pulled up to the terminal for both of my flights (same plane, actually). According to the FAs, they were subcontracted to fly this route that day... which is odd, what with being a direct competitor. (My fare/food was also not honored, but that is unrelated to this.)

As it stands, I have received no AQM/AQS for these flights. And oddly during the safety deomstration, they stated "you will recieve your topbonus points for this flight, or points on a oneworld partner", which makes little sense, since there are no oneworld marketed codes for this, due to it beign subcontracted.

My questinon: Has anyone had similar issues on other partner airlines subcontracting without notice? Am I SoL for submitting a mileage request (which must be done via the AE documents email, for Germanwings flights.... shudder)? The fact that the Germanwings image has been broken on the transactions page for over 6 months is not encouraging .
