Follow these procedures exactly and you should be fine. BTW, the shop staff are clueless as to steps 1 to 7, and will not provide assistance or direction in this matter. Very hands off.
So I did not follow this exactly. I ordered my bag over the phone, I had problems with online. I requested pick up at the airport. I did not say I was connecting, because I had plenty of time. Upon arrival at the shop my bag was still in the box, I asked that they leave it because I had to check it in.
My mistake, I asked about VAT refund. No we do not allow that on shop delivery. Call customer service if you want explanation. Ok fine, I can I reject the bag and just purchase another? Welll its too much paperwork was the response... I was too tired to fight.
I went to check in my bag and the security guy, the one that asks the sercuity questions, was like where is your customs form? Which I thought was odd. He insisted that I go to the Zoll and get my stamp. I did not have the form filled out, but they gave me a form and stamped a couple copies of the receipts.
I will try sending the paperwork in. We shall see. I wish I had printed your post so I remembered each step.
