So, it is time to leave Hertz and discover what other options exist for SFO.

I've been a Hertz Gold customer for over 20 years and use them most often for SFO rentals with occasional LAX and other US cities from time to time. I don't use them for points, just looking for the best deal on a nice car. Typically I book a standard like a Nissan Altima and upgrade at the airport to something nicer for a reasonable amount per day.

I'd prefer to use the main building to reduce time spent and would go through whatever procedures are required to ensure a good status for convenience.

Suggestions?

Check out Silvercar. Nice cars (Audi A4), and they only charge the tolls actually incurred, no fees.
