I'm prepping for my next AOR and I currently have the standard Arrival card that has been active for 2 years (converted from an Arrival+ after the first year to avoid annual fee.)

I've read that if you are trying to churn the same product you obv should close the current account before applying for the new one. But does anyone know if I have to close my standard Arrival card before applying for the Arrival+? Or, are those considered two completely separate products and I could still get the new bonus while leaving my other account open? (I'm thinking the later, and hope I'm correct.)

I also read that I should reduce my CL on my Barclay cards to free up CL for my new application, so I plan on doing that and only closing my Arrival if I have to. Will probably have to put my Barclay app near the front of my AOR, as I've heard they are sticklers about recent inquiries.
