The 787 is not bleed-less, it's more electric. The packs for cabin air are indeed electrically driven, but bleed air off the engine is still used for other purposes (HPT ACC, nacelle anti-ice, possibly others).
On the 787, bleed air is only used for engine cowl ice protection and pressurization of hydraulic reservoirs.
