Some of these seem to have a SMB share or support DLNA or UPnP.

Supposedly many video player apps. support networked streaming, so you could conceivably use a different app. than the one provided by these devices to access streaming content.

The Kingston Digital Companion Mobilelite is suppose to support SMB, though none of the documentation on the Kingston site references it. But one of the Amazon reviews say SMB is supported:
