From PHX, some of the better options currently are to PTY, though with enough advance planning you can usually find some reasonable 420-480 point round trips for $800-$1000 to places like BOS, JFK, etc. Another option sometimes is PHX-PHL-DCA and return. The thing to keep in mind is that PHL and JFK are your only hubs that are 2000 miles away, whereas MIA is also 2000 miles from LAX, so a number of the better tier point options include those routes.
