And just to add my own welcome to you, britoz, welcome to Flyertalk and to the BA Board. It's great to see new faces here and I hope you can participate more in this forum, which is a valuable resource on all things flying. In respect of that, you may want to have a look at a very detailed thread in the Forum Dashboard on EC261. It's quite a big thread so you may want to just look at the first and last dozen posts in it, but it will give you a primer on how it works and the lastest news. One piece of advice there, unusually, does not apply to you, namely the need to explicitly claim for the compensation - the reply from Customer Relations seems to have kicked that off. The EC261 department is moving a lot faster than general Customer Relations at the moment, so I hope you will hear more in the next 2 weeks or perhaps less.
