Boy, you guys have not been paying attention. He flew TPE-GUM and TPE-IAH Kitty inauguration flights. This is an article from 2014.

One would expect someone like Y F Chang to make his children come from the bottom up. I wonder if one can really successfully go undercover in a Taiwanese company like Undercover Boss

As cool as the guy is and as much as he has expanded EVA...I think many of us also like aviation and we just don't have that opportunity as he does.

Service is getting sloppy (too many inexperienced FAs), food in Y got worse and the typhoon handling a few weeks ago are all pretty alarming to me. I hope he balances the uptight conservative Evergreen culture (which contributes to the discipline and safety of the company) with the glamour of a cool airline.
