Tell the check-in agent you bring a bottle of Gin/Brandy/Wine... <whatever> in your checked luggage for a friend/colleague you will meet up in NRT.

Worked for me always without the smallest problem. And with nearly 4 hours connection time shouldn't be a problem. If you want to be sure, really put a bottle in the bag
