...I think you're right. EQPs are based on EQMs, not actual miles flown. I literally talked to the AAdvantage Customer Service rep, and they just agreed that I'd be earning 9k EQPs on this flight - I guess the dude had no clue and now I'm stuck earning 2752 EQPs on this flight.
This sucks, perhaps I should delete this thread.
Anyone have advice on what I should do? Only thing I can think of is to send an email to AA. Not sure how that will help. All I know is that I have to hit 6k EQPs.
