It's probably the closest that most of us will ever get to the private jet experience. In my view, the disadvantages of flying a 747 are well outweighed by the benefits of being on the UD, if you can get a seat there. And this is a mode of flying which will become increasingly rare; in constrast, we will still have many decades in which to enjoy the flying dormitories of the 380 and 777 and their ilk.
