Follow what the passenger has told you. UK and US immigration understand a variety of names work. Seeing the surname is the first position of the passport is common for travellers from China and Japan.


Knowledge of junior check-in agents who may believe they know better are another issue. It should not be a problem normally.

It is more confusing for me as Name2 is my surname
