Doing a little AA platinum status challenge and found some deals flying out of San Diego. Fares are good for select days in October & November. I was mainly looking at weekends, so it's perfect for mileage running.

I ended up booking JL: SAN>LAX>NRT>CGK>NRT>SAN for $730, 3.9cpm. Departs SAN on Thursday 11/5 in the morning and arrives SAN on Sunday 11/8 in the morning.

Note that deep discount economy on JL will 30% EQMs of actual miles flown. You will, however, earn 50% EQPs, so I'll be earning >9k EQPs for this flight, which sets me up for my PLT challenge. Of course, if you're PLT or EXP already, you'll get 100% bonus, so you'll end up with over 36k RDMs.
