I am flying from Geneva to LAX using two separate, round-trip flights I found on Kayak as a Hacker Fare (NOT two one ways). Since the flight doesn't technically have a layover, I am assuming I need to pick up and recheck my bag. Does anyone have experience with this? Is it possible to check my bag with Delta in Geneva (although I doubt it) If the plane is not late arriving in London, am I still completely screwing myself over with a 2 hour layover? Any advice/comments/tips would be greatly appreciated! Here are my flights:

19 Sept
GVA>LHR British Airways 725 (arrives 1100)
LHR>LAX Delta 35 (departs 1300)

returns are (but I am not worried about this part):
LAX>LHR Delta
LHR>GVA British Airways

I don't really have much experience with international flights, and I was only at LHR once for a layover. Please gimme me some good news that will make this a possibility!
