The apartment makes sense, but has no fringe benefits, other than space and autonomy.

Contact the Sheraton and Westin, I, like you, like the extra space, and would ask for either a guaranteed suite or connecting rooms set up as such. While you will be checking out, I would ask about keeping the same rooms so you can leave stuff there.

We would not be here if we did not want status AND points so this is non negotiable.

You DO hold the cards. I WOULD also ask the property about any planned major events for the hotel or Charlotte, such as race week. Offer to pay for those weekends to make sure you keep those rooms.
