If my calculations are correct, I would be 10 segments away from platinum by the end of the year.

I want to know: Do you think the difference between Gold and Platinum are worth spending maybe two weekends doing segment runs and possibly costing me $800+?

If you do think it's worth it for me, what are some good mileage runs I could do out of MSN to get 10 segments, preferably in 2 Saturdays? That's risky, it would be 5 segments in one day which seems tough to do!
