Arrived at this new hotel for a 1 night stay to find it opens next week. I'd booked on the Accor site (or maybe app) and the booking was still showing as confirmed.

Apparently Accor cancelled everybody's stays about 2 weeks age - except mine.

The GM handled it impeccably though. Even though my booking doesn't seem to appear on the Accor database, he sat me down with a drink and started phoning round hotels. With the Davies Cup here atm that's not so easy. They started at the top hotels and worked down and I'm now in a star or two higher rated hotel for complimentary B&B and a taxi to get me here.

It looks like a nice example of the brand and, judging by my experience that the staff reflect the GM, it should be worth a stay next time.
