Not sure if this is related, but I am GE and cannot select a seat on my regular domestic run to CHC without incurring a charge of $5 each way or $10 for the exit row - no light yellow (free choice) seats displayed; only dark yellow ($10), white ($5) and greyed out seats showing.
I have 20 bookings on domestic trips (mostly seat-only) and this is the first time I have encountered this. I won't pay the seat choice fee as I give them enough already.
