I recently made a reward booking LAX-LHR in CW snatching the 2 available seats at T-355.
It's gonna be the first time my husband and I will travel with our two infants.
Now, we are currently fostering these two children and their names will likely change once the adoption is finalized.
I did not realize infants could be added at a later time so I went ahead and booked with their current names.
BA tells me that providing the papers that show their name change and explaining the cause of said change, they will likely make the changes but they could not guarantee it at this time as per rules the names on rewards tickets cannot be changed.

What should I do?
Option 1
Leave the current booking as it is and hope that once I provide the reason for name changes and the related paperwork they will do so...
or
Option 2
Cancel current booking, wait for avios and companion voucher to be refunded (how long for that by the way? is that immediate?) and snatch two CW seats at a later date (as I assume BA will not make the two cancelled reward seats available again)?
