Got there maybe 5 minutes after check-in closed and they wouldn't make an exception. Living in Atlanta, I knew to leave early for the airport so I had given myself plenty of time. I'd probably handle it much better now, but at the time I was probably 25 years old and completely frazzled. And yes, it was my outbound to CDG.
