I think the Palace has great F&B and its location is as good as it gets. I would just never stay there over my favorite hotels in Tokyo because of the inflexibility in the service that is an inherent problem with hotels under Japanese management. This may not bother some guests who might find it charming and an authentic Japanese experience, but having lived in Japan for a long time I do not find inflexible hotel service cute, I find it irritating.

But, that's just my opinion. Anyone who is curious about it should try it, if only for the views and the excellent F&B (although one need not stay to eat there - I just take a cab over from Andaz).

On a side note, in the basement of the adjacent building is the Tokyo outpost of the New York casual Italian restaurant group Serafina. The menu is exactly the same as in New York and the pizza is delicious. It's open late and a great spot for a relaxed meal with family, friends, or colleagues.
