Was in Istanbul in July.

My teenage son had the Tmobile SIM, I had an Irish SIM in my phone so my report is second hand.

He was able to easily send email, and he also did Skype instant messaging and Google Hangouts messaging and sent photos via Skype. Maps worked also, I don't think he did anything more ambitious.
