Hard to say - vuittonsofstyle recommended Gulf Villas which looks fine but without beach at site (shuttle bus). So not sure. During September it was at some days around 300 for a Suite without pool, so same price range. A friend stayed at Daios Cove, but found the food terrible. He meant room looked more or less equal. So not sure if another Hotel is really superior. Perhaps I would try a bigger Villa at Gulf and take the shuttle or stay again at Blue Palace and take a Island Luxury Suite. Location is very good, Taverns at Plaka (2 minutes drive or 5 minutes walk) nice and hardware of bigger suites seems to be fine. I simply think value at Crete is not perfect. If you like to stay for example 2 weeks and consider a good suite costs you 890 -1100 € per night (Island Luxury a Blue Palace) or even more at Gulf Villas and prices of equal hotels in Asia are much lower or hotels are much more superior, even with considering price for F flights I would not opt for Crete. To be fair flight was not too bad, but flying Y (no real alternative) is never great.... So for a short stay I would return, not for a long stay.
