Made about 10 trips to Albany this past year and got to eat at several nice places. There is a converted power plant or steam plant downtown that was good. There was also an excellent Italian place. It was on a side street just down (east?) from the funny shaped buildings. You had to step down several steps from the road to the restaurant. My boss is VERY well traveled and he thinks its one of the best Italian places in the US.
