I just used up 25k for positioning to YYZ for a trip to europe (from DTW).

I'm flying all Delta metal for under $750. I'm status matching to PM, I do end up at MSP before heading to AMS. The trip home is the real kick in the nuts, 2 hour layover in DTW, before flying to YYZ just to wait an hour and get on ANOTHER flight back to DTW. I was tempted to to just book a one-way for 12.5k miles but didn't want to pull something like that during my status match, I'd just be asking for a DQ. Those 25k miles saved me ~$700-1000+ if you stretch my logic a bit (I could've just driven to YYZ, it's under 4 hours from my house).
