We taxied and took off in a darkened cabin during the day with shades closed. Even the exit row shades were fully closed. I find this disconcerting especially in light of the British Airways B777 that was engulfed in fire on the runway at LAS. Pax (especially in an exit row) need to see outside during ground operations so that they can quickly evacuate through a safe exit and not open the door into flames.
Anyone know if WN has a policy regarding this issue - especially during taxi, takeoff, and landing?
Very, very odd. Perhaps the FA was personally overheating and wanted to cool down. Are you 100% positive the announcement was made while the aircraft was in motion? Maybe the FA was overly adamant & aggressive with announcements during boarding and therefore passengers were afraid to adjust them once moving?
