HK airport tax refund
Last Friday (11SEP) I was scheduled to fly BA27 to HKG (arriving 12SEP 16:45) and CX715 (departing HKG at 20:25, 13SEP, using one of two stopovers permitted on the fare component, thus HK airport taxes of HKD120 were charged on this ticket, plus, I had to use 1 of 2 allowed stopovers on this fare.)
However, BA27 was delayed until 12SEP and did not depart LON until after 15:00, and did not arrive in HKG until 1030 on 13SEP.
1) In addition to claiming EU261 compensation, can I also claim back the HKD120 airport taxes since due to the delay, there was only a connection made in HKG?
2) If I wanted to add a second stopover to this ticket, could I do so (since only 1/2 stopovers allowed on this ticket now have been used, and my stopover in LON was involuntary?)
