Great report. Have to say though that I enjoyed it until the compensation bit at the end. I know others will be along to post that if you are entitled, why not claim it, but given the lengths the Captain went to on your outbound, maybe karma will dictate that BA will apply the rules next time and leave your bags behind. Rules cut both ways.
