1. Did we all on this board think that a pre-devaluation change could be done irrespective of zone? (which would have solved all my problems... as I could have simply made the chance for £70 change fee and 5,000 extra miles. Sorry. No. I think it was only date/time changes that were allowed. Anything that caused a ticket reissue would be repriced at current prices.
As for seats popping back into system - no way to tell at all. On two occasions when I've cancelled, once the seats became rebookable, and once they didnt.
