I enjoyed a stay in Brasov but found Bran Castle touristy and overrun and much preferred the relative peace of Rasnov Citadel/Castle which is only 30 - 40 KM south of Brasov and goes way back to the 1200's. Great views and such history without the crowds. Just MHO.
