QUestion about cancellation vs refunding ticket
So unfortunately my husband's health may require cancelling of a rewards flight next month- we are quickly coming into the 22 day window (5 days away)- what I am wondering - if I just choose to cancel and rebook within a year do I get the taxs/surcharges back regardless? I know I have to pay the $90 rebooking fee when I rebook- or should I just completely cancel and pay the $90 to get mileage reinstated and I'm assuming the surcharges right away? I'm certain I'll use the ticket again with a year- just don't want to loose $370 in 'steal'charges?
THanks
