So LH TA said my reservation was cancelled. What it looked like was when the AC phone agent cleaned up the file she cancelled the entire return trip and only kept the AC segment. I lost my seat and whole booking. LH could only check me in the EU flight segment and issued one BP. At least I got the AC segments checked in.

Why did this happen and how should I prevent this again? I have two such TATL trips between US and EU via AC and LH coming up.
