Since I started this DONE5 back in January I have successfully made a couple of minor changes by phoning BA (the changes were just carrier changes - to get the AA codeshare I wanted, and a couple of date changes)
Now I want to re-route the final six segments
Originally they were
- …BKK-AMM-TUN-DOH-CMN-DOH-NBO
And I now want
- ...BKK-xDOH-CMN-xDOH-OSL-xDOH-NBO
And I am being told that the change I want is against the rules
That if I leave Africa via the Middle East (I started with CPT-JNB-DOH-...)
And I re-enter Africa via the Middle East (...DOH-NBO)
Then I cannot fly to Europe
I've spent two one-hour phone calls discussing this with supervisors without getting them to see that it is wrong
It is going to passed to the "Fares Team" - this after I pointed out that my original routing was ticketed and does have flights to Europe (Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia are defined to be in the Europe Zone of the Europe/Missile East Continent)
