Interestingly, when I complained about several things to the lounge manager a few weeks ago, including about the lack of menus, that was actually one of the reasons given for not putting them out. Apparently, they do keep finding the menus in the bin! Whether that's the fault / misunderstanding of the guests or the cleaners wasn't something we got into...
