This is the situation where I can't decipher how AC benefits.
It seems to me this means, for such flights, fewer passengers have bought up with the intent of trying to upgrade.
It is abundantly clear that, last year, more people bought-up evidenced by the number of us that complained about the lotto.
As long as I have credits in surplus, I've a strong incentive to buy H fares or better--and ensure that my travelling companions do too.
