If seat is the ONLY thing that decides for you which airline to take, then yes, I agree with you.

However, OP has stated that CA is significantly cheaper AND offers a better schedule. Add to this that the difference between the CA and the CI seat isn't much regarding comfort (once you've a lie-flat 180degree seat, there isn't MUCH to improve..) but rather just a bit of privacy, I'd think twice about sending my money to CI.

A slightly less good seat (which is still a very solid C product) vs. saving lots of money + arriving in much better shape (flight schedule makes A LOT of difference in fighting jetlag, at least for me.. a great schedule in Y makes me having much less jetlag than a crappy one even in F) -> I would definitely pick CA
