I am planning a vacation to New Caledonia and would appreciate any comments and insights about the tropical islands.

Also, anyone who experienced the transfer between their int'l and domestic airports that are about 40KM apart? Do they drive like French metropoles to make a two-hour connection possible?

As I do not have any access to French travel boards, I much appreciate your comments and experiences.
