BA no longer applies YQ for domestic/shorthaul flights, so has nothing to do with this thread. Either there has been a change in government/airport imposed taxes/fees, or there was a fare difference requiring additional payment.
Which was my point, why would "government/airport imposed taxes/fees" increase when flying from the same airport and under the same political and economical regime? But then again, if I have committed the never-before-seen crime on this forum of going Off Topic, feel free to ignore.
