Hi Christina15 and welcome to the QR Board!
Hopefully you will find us a helpful resource.
With regards to your connection issue, 90 minutes is a fairly standard layover time at DOH.
The airport is set-up for transfer passengers, and runs smoothly.
If you are concerned about feeling rushed, I would strongly recommend you book the Qatar Airways mobility service. You will find the information through Manage My Booking at qatarairways.com.
If you select wheelchair assistance, for example, you will be met as soon as you are off the plane. If your flight from London lands at a particular gate, all passengers may have to go through secondary security screening. This is not something to worry about, and, as you will be in a wheelchair, you will be moved to the front of any queue. It should be noted that flights from London are rarely selected for secondary security.
In any case, 90 minutes is ample time to make your connection.
Flights from London to Doha, are often given priority at Doha. If, therefore, you were a little late leaving London, you will likely make up the time on the journey. If, for whatever reason, you do miss your connection due to the late arrival of your flight from London, Qatar will of course rebook you. While some would see this is an inconvenience, this may work in your favour as you would unlikely have to rush anywhere, and would therefore have a few more hours at the airport (depending on your final destination).
With regards to QR refusing your request for a refund, unfortunately, I agree with them. Your original connection was 2 hours, and now the connection is 90 minutes - still comfortably within the 45 minutes Minimum Connection Time. If they had altered your connection from 2 hours to 45 minutes, or from 2 hours to 10 hours, then I would understand your complaint. However, a 30 minute difference should not impact you.
I hope some of the above can help, but please use this Board for any questions or queries you may have.
