First property I encountered with this was the SHS in downtown Louisville. One opaque sliding glass door to the toilet room and (tiny) sink, another opaque sliding glass door to the room with the shower and a slightly larger vanity sink. Based on the room design it struck me as a clever way to avoid having to accommodate the radius of a typical hinge door swinging outward.
And because of that magical space-saving innovation, the bathroom was quite close to the foot of the bed. Not a great feature.
