Ok, that does happen. I was checking in along with a friend and his rez had been cancelled! Turned out there were two rezzies with the same name and the FDC picked the wrong one to cancel. I think the other was about to get a no show charge! I've also had a FDC pick the wrong rez for me where I had two different stays a week apart. He checked me in for the later stay and I was billed for a no show on the current rez. It took quite some talking to get that one figured out. Fortunately that was a time when I traveled with printouts of confirmations.
