Hi folks,
I'm in Adelaide soon and debating doing the rental car hire or using public transport - leaning towards public transport.
I'm hoping to use the shuttle bus which goes door to door from the airport to accommodation for $10. Is there any option to just walk up to the Tourist Info area and sign up or is the only way of booking by calling?
It looks like there are trains, trams and buses. There's a metro card of some sort $25 for 3 days which I will hunt out from some shop in town. Is the public system pretty good? Reliable? I don't want to turn up to class late

At this point I think I'm otherwise going to hang around town, not going touring. If the weather turns to custard then I may cave in and grab a rental car. Looks like there are a couple within walking distance of where I'm staying. The Adelaide airport site makes things look promising for the public transport option though.
I'm thinking I'll taxi back to the airport for convenience, or other option is that Jetexpress bus. Anyone use it?
Staying on North Terrace (looks like a busy road which could be a mistake).
Any pearls of wisdom/experience would be appreciated.
