I'm not really a fan of Hawaii, but do have a suggestion for a place to eat.

Try the restaurant at the New Otani Kaminana Hotel. It is located on Waikiki beach at the foot of Diamond Head (opposite end of Waikiki from the the major hotels).

You sit outside at the water's edge underneath a huge spreading Banyan tree. It is a very nice, relaxing location.
