Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a slightly related question. I'm have Amex MR points that I'm considering converting to Avios in order to UUA from CW to F on a trip from the USA to DUB over our Thanksgiving week (assuming availability). My concern being this is in part a status run for me with AA to get to Executive Platinum. I assume I have to have my BA frequent flyer number linked to the reservation in order to UUA, but assuming I'm successful could I then switch the number to my AA number to credit the flights there?
